We are excited to announce that renovation projects to enhance the meeting space and guest rooms
at the Westin Kierland are underway! Enhancement plans include a new ballroom, new outdoor terrace
overlooking the lake, updating all guest rooms, corridors and more.
We anticipate the projects to be completed in December 2010. While enhancements are being made
to the Resort's main building, a variety of measures will be taken to ensure that guest disruption is minimal
and the areas being enhanced will operate with our usual excellent facilities and services. We look forward to
welcoming you here for your event to take advantage of the newly enhanced Westin Kierland.

Frequently Asked Questions
1. What enhancement work is taking place in the guest rooms?
Mainly the enhancement being done in the guest rooms is all carpeting and drapery as well as décor updates
including artwork, mirrors, chairs, headboards and lamps.
2. Will there be buffer floors to minimize disturbance?
Buffer floors will not be required as we are not removing any carpet tack strip in the guest rooms
nor completing any major demolition work.
3. What kind of heavy machinery will be on property for the enhancements?
Throughout the month of July, we will only have a crane erected on the far side of the property.
4. What are the enhancement work hours?
The work hours will be Monday – Saturday, 8:30 am – 4:30pm.
5. What will the visual disturbance be like for guests and how will it affect guest experience
when in public areas of the hotel (such as lobby/restaurant/pools)?
Guests will not see much activity relative to enhancement work as it is taking place on the east side of the Resort near the meeting space. Temporary decorative walls will block public view of any enhancement equipment and lessen as much noise as possible.
6. What will the noise impact be for guests (e.g. jackhammers, drilling, hammering)?
Noise will be heaviest from June 1st - 18th, however it is a manageable level for these types of enhancements
and will not affect normal levels of communication or Resort enjoyment.
